Uganda wildlife and gorillas safari is an exciting adventure that takes you near nature where you get the chance to have a real touch of an amazing atmosphere in Africa. For various years, Uganda has been considered as one of the best destination in Africa when it comes to tourism and this has led to an increase in the number of tourists visiting the country every year. Last year Uganda received the highest number of tourists in its history beating its neighbors including Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and others. Tourists enjoy hiking through the impenetrable of Bwindi and Mgahinga National Parks searching for these amazing primates.
Mountain gorillas are found in only three countries – Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo and it is believed that Uganda has the highest number of mountain gorillas hosting about half of the world’s total number of the primates. This puts Uganda among the best travel destinations in Africa and the whole world and hence boosting the tourism sector in the country.
Apart from the mountain gorillas, chimpanzees and other primates also have contributed a lot on attract tourists and boosting tourism in the country. Some tourists join gorilla and chimpanzee trekking on their tour itineraries just to have the best of trekking experience. While on the trek, they encounter other wild animals in the forest and a variety of bird species.

Despite the fact that birding can be done in most parts of the country, there are particular destinations where its more interesting and the tourists is guaranteed of viewing various species of birds including the migratory birds like Lutembe bay and on the shores of Lake Victoria.
