TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Kampala – Kibale Forest
Morning breakfast at the hotel in kampala or Entebbe, followed by a briefing from your tour guide, later drive to Fort portal via Mubende town, visit Nakayima tree of wonders and share the historical and cultural stories about the area, to arrive in Fort portal / Kibale forest by early evening. Dinner and overnight at Chimps Nest Lodge / Mountains of the Moon Hotel / Ndali lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Cultural / Nature Walk
Have breakfast at the lodge and proceed for an incredible experience of primates tracking in Kibale forest. Expect an encounter with Chimpanzees, Vervet monkeys, Red tailed, Mangabeys, Giant Forest hog, mammals such as forest Buffaloes and Elephants as well as 350 bird species.

Have lunch at Chimp Nest Lodge and proceed for nature walk in Bigodi swamps for more primates, birds and Antelopes, OR go for a village walk to interact with local communities, OR take a nature walk to the water falls and crater lakes region. Overnight at your respective lodges/hotels.

Day 3: Fort portal / Kabalore tour, travel to Queen Elizabeth Park
Breakfast and drive to the neighboring Kabarole district to see “Amabeere ga nyinamwiru” cultural site and a stop over at Nyakasura school the only of its kind in Uganda. With such a memorable experience forgetting the adventure is the last thing you can do; proceed for lunch in Fort portal town.
Then visit Tooro King’s palace for a traditional adventure and then after proceed to visit the local communities around and encounter African culture to its fullest. Later, set off to Queen Elizabeth National Park while enjoying an evening game drive (3hrs). Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari lodge / Kyambura Lodge / Kingfisher lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive and Launch Cruise.
Proceed for a guide tour / game drive to explore Kasenyi track, see lions, herds of elephants, antelopes, buffaloes etc. And after lunch proceed for a fantastic launch cruise and view large numbers of birds, hundreds of Hippos, mammals and reptiles at the shoreline. Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari lodge / Kyambura Lodge / Kingfisher lodge.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth, Ishasha sector to Bwindi Gorilla Forest
Breakfast and proceed to Bwindi passing through the park’s southerly Ishasha sector and having a chance to stop over for a short search of the famous tree climbing lions.
Enroute picnic lunch and arrive in the early evening. Dinner and over night at Gorilla resort / Buhoma Community rest camp.

Day 6: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking Adventure
Break fast, a briefing from the tour guide.
Get equipped, have your lunch and water packed and then proceed for another briefing and registration from the game rangers.
Sort out equipments and depart for tracking; an adventure of a life time. Have a memorable day and in the evening transfer to lodge. Dinner and over night at Gorilla resort or other.

Day 7: Bwindi – Nature Walks and Local Visits.
Breakfast and briefing.
Proceed for guided nature walks and birding since Bwindi is a famous destination for bird watchers, have a view of over 100 bird species of the available 350 in the park and 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemics, then have lunch.
After proceed for local community visits to the common pygmies here” Batwa” and experience tradition in its own category. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Silverback lodge / Buhoma community Rest camp.

Day 8: Reserved for departure
Have breakfast at the lodge and transfer back to Kampala via Mbarara with enroute stop at the Equator for photographs. Depending on your scheduled flight, you will be transferred to the airport for hotel in Entebbe.

End of the Uganda Tour

EXTENSIONS / ADD-ONS 
1) Between Day 4 & DAY 05: The Equator and the Queen’s Pavilion
Breakfast and then proceed to the Equator and have photographs , then visit the Queen’s Pavilion which was built in 1959 as a site to remember the Queen’s visit , then visit the coffee shop and also have lunch.

After lunch make a visit to Kyambura wildlife reserve, the area which protects the south-eastern banks of Kazinga channel, contains four crater lakes, in which thousands of Flamingos periodically congregate. Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari lodge / Kyambura Lodge / Kingfisher lodge.
